BMO Bank of Montreal Lowers Mortgage Rates

TORONTO, March 4, 2008 – BMO Bank of Montreal today announced it is changing its variable mortgage rates effective March 5, 2008. The new rates are:

Variable Rates: To: Change:
3 year open 5.250% -0.50%
6 year Below Prime 4.875% -0.50%
5 year Protected 5.150% -0.50%

The ceiling on the Five-Year Protected Variable Rate mortgage is 7.29%
