to Donate more than $75,000 to Local Organizations to Celebrate Branch
Grand Opening BRANTFORD, ON, September 27, 2007 – BMO Bank of Montreal is donating more than $75,000 to local organizations to celebrate the grand opening of its new full-service branch in Brantford, Ontario. The donation will help fund an MRI machine at the Brantford General Hospital and help to build a new state-of-the-art three-storey cultural centre in North Paris located in Brant County. The cultural centre will provide residents with a place to come together and enjoy arts, theatre, workshops and other community events. The donations will also support the Brantford Symphony Orchestra and United Way of Brant. In addition to BMO’s donation, employees will donate toward the MRI campaign through BMO’s Employee Charitable Foundation on behalf of a colleague who recently passed away from cancer. BMO will present individual cheques to the organizations at the grand opening celebration.
“This grand opening and the various donations provide a wonderful opportunity to welcome customers to their new branch, meet neighbours and to show our appreciation and support for the organizations that mean so much to the well-being of our community,” said Angela Geerdinck, Branch Manager, BMO Bank of Montreal. “Customers of the Henry Street branch will be welcomed from Monday to Saturday by 25 experienced financial services professionals and investment specialists who can provide clear financial advice and solutions to help them make the right decisions with their money.” ABOUT THE HENRY STREET BRANCH
