Tim Crane began his banking career with Harris N.A. in 1984. He is currently Executive Vice President, Chicagoland- North Division. This division encompasses the North, Northeast, Northwest and West regions of Chicagoland. In addition to this role, Tim is responsible for Harris' Mortgage Sales Function and the bank's e-Channel Group, including the Client Contact Centers. Previously, Tim worked in Harris' Commercial Lending, Cash Management and Marketing divisions, and he served as head of Harris Bank's Consumer Lending/Mortgage Group. During his tenure, his responsibilities have encompassed activities in the United States, Toronto, and Mexico.
Tim serves on the board of directors of Harris Life Insurance Corporation, and on the board of the Consumer Bankers Association's Government Relations Committee. He earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois, and an MBA from the University of Chicago. Tim has also completed several executive education programs at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Business, and at the Ivey School of Business in Toronto, Canada.
Tim has spoken at industry conferences on a wide range of topics, including payment systems, money laundering and consumer lending. In addition, he has served as a faculty member for the NACHA Payment Institute, and is also a member of the Executives' Club of Chicago.
Tim resides in a suburb of Chicago with his family. He is active as both a leader and participant in several volunteer organizations.
