Bruce S. Schwenger is head of Global Direct Investing for BMO Financial Group's Private Client Group. As such, he serves as President and CEO of Harrisdirect and CEO of BMO's Canadian direct investing firm, BMO InvestorLine.

Schwenger is responsible for guiding overall strategic direction and managing execution in the delivery of all direct investing products and services throughout North America. Under Schwenger's direction, Harrisdirect and BMO InvestorLine have earned numerous industry accolades, including top rankings in Barron's annual survey of online brokers, and in Canada from Quicken, Gomez and The Globe and Mail, among others.

Schwenger has been with BMO InvestorLine since 1995. He served as Director for Harris Investors Direct (HID) from 1998 to 2000. In 2000, Schwenger assumed responsibility for the newly formed firm Harris InvestorLine; a merger of Harris Investors Direct, Chicago-based Burke-Christensen & Lewis and Seattle-based Freeman Welwood.

Prior to joining BMO InvestorLine, Schwenger spent 13 years in sales management for BMO's full-service investment firm Nesbitt Burns. He began his career in financial services and investments at Pitfield Mackay Ross, where he served eight years as an advisor to retail clients.

Schwenger is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) and a Certified Investment Manager (CIM).
