Andy Plews

Andy Plews is Vice President Corporate Communications for BMO Financial Group and Harris. He is responsible for BMO's Corporate Communications, Corporate Donations and Government Relations groups, leading a team of communications professionals based in Chicago, Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.

Plews joined Harris as Vice President, Corporate Communications in January, 2001 and was responsible for all communications for Harris and BMO Financial Group in the United States.

In June, 2003 he assumed responsibility for Corporate Communications in both the United States and Canada on an interim basis, and was subsequently named Vice President, Corporate Communications, BMO Financial Group in November, 2003.

Prior to joining Harris, Plews held the position of Director, Media Relations at UAL Corporation and its United Airlines subsidiary based at the company's headquarters in Chicago.

During a 25-year career in journalism and public relations, he has held a variety of positions with companies in Europe and the United States. He began his career as a reporter for South London Newspapers in the United Kingdom and went on to hold communications positions with British Caledonian Airways, Northwest Airlines and Gold Stag Public Relations in London, prior to moving to Chicago in 1998 to join UAL.

Plews has a B.A. with honors degree in Modern History from Oxford University.
