Addressing Climate Change
In
2008, we examined our environmental practices across the organization and wove
them together in a comprehensive strategy covering key elements of our businesses.
We named the strategy Clear Blue Skies in recognition of the importance we
place on the quality of the air that we breathe.
We used our existing Corporate Responsibility council as the starting point
for the current Sustainability Council whose members are executives representing
all areas of the bank. The council meets quarterly and is responsible for oversight
and guidance as we continue to roll out our Clear Blue Skies strategy.
