LONDON,
February 23, 2009 – BMO Bank of Montreal will open the doors
today to a new 5,500 square foot branch at 1285 Fanshawe Park Road West
in London.
“It is exciting for BMO to be joining the Fanshawe community and
to be expanding our retail branch network to 14 locations within the
city of London,” said Marc Guilbeault, Branch Manager BMO Bank
of Montreal. “We encourage both new and existing customers to come
and meet our knowledgeable staff who are able to provide personal financial
advice that is relevant in our current economic environment.”
The branch is readily equipped to meet the personal needs of those in
the community, as well as the growing demands of the city of London.
“London stands to fare relatively well during the recession thanks
to its diverse economic base,” said Robert Kavcic, Economic Analyst,
BMO Capital Markets. “Economic activity in the city spans a range
of sectors including health care, education and financial services, which
should provide a buffer that most other Southern Ontario cities don’t
have.”
The branch offers
longer hours and will operate from:
Monday to Wednesday 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Friday 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The branch is also equipped with a full-service drive through ABM, and
an Instabank machine for everyday financial transactions.
BMO has shown its continuous
support to the London community through donations to the London Health
Sciences Center & St. Joseph’s
Health Care, University of Western Ontario, Fanshawe College, Salvation
Army, United Way and Women of Distinction.
The branch will hold a grand opening ceremony on March 28, 2009. - 30 -
